Mirror Room

You will be facing a mirror; click on it. To the right is a bowl of balls. Click on the bowl to get the puzzle screen.

Drag a ball from the bowl into one of the holes on the shelf under the mirror, trying it in each hole in turn until the ball grows big and shows a symbol. If the ball won't grow in any hole, it goes in the middle, where it will never grow or show any symbol. After you have four big balls with symbols in place, push the red button to the bottom right of the mirror and the following will be revealed.

Back up from the puzzle screen.

Duke Puzzle

Enter the mirror room and turn right. There is a stand full of medieval weapons. Click on the left blade. This will unlock the door to the left of the weapons. Now you need to turn left, take a step toward the mirror, then turn right again to center the door on your screen so you can open it. Go in.

Duke Room

Turn left to face the Duke puzzle and click on it to get a closeup. There are four white bumps, each surrounded by four colored buttons. Starting at the left bump, push the surrounding colored buttons until a fog and sound appear. Then push the buttons surrounding the second bump until the sound changes slightly. Then do the same for the third and fourth bumps (colors don't matter and will change every time you approach the puzzle). At the fourth bump, the fog will resolve into the ghost of the duke. He will quiz you about what you've learned. Here are the questions and answers.

After you answer about 15 questions correctly (in hard mode), the Duke gives you a key. Return to the Mirror Puzzle room (through the main door; once you're in the Duke's room, it's a one-way passage back down to the Symbol Doors Room) and use the key on the chest to get the crown.

Look at the canvas. Using the paintbrushes on the workbench on the left results in a symbol being painted on the canvas; using the spray paint cans on the bottom right results in a room being painted on the canvas.

The first paintbrush paints the Mars symbol; the second paintbrush paints the squiggly line, the third paintbrush paints the sun, and the fourth paintbrush draws the moon.

The upper left spraypaint paints the canvas, the room you are in; the top right spray paint paints a gallery room; the spraypaint on the second row paints the mirror puzzle; and the spraypaint on the third row, left, paints a cask. The spraypaint on the bottom right paints the globe. The other four spray paints are merely repeats.

Paint the cask, then paint the moon on top of it. Next paint the canvas and then paint the Mars symbol on it. Next paint the gallery and then paint the squiggle on top of it. Fourth, paint the mirror and then paint the sun on it. Each time you do one of these, the symbol will go to a corner of the canvas. After you do all four of these, use the bottom right spraypaint can to paint the globe room, then use any paintbrush and you will get a can of spraypaint added to your inventory. Use the new spraypaint on the canvas to unlock the door behind the canvas.

Two Urns

Urn Room

Set the left urn to blue and the right urn to purple to unlock the door to the left, which leads to the wine cellar. Set both urns to brown to unlock the door to the right, which leads to the room with the globe and the chest.

Wine Cellar

Go through the Two Urns room, set the left urn to blue and the right urn to purple, then enter the wine room through the door to the left.

Turn to the left and take the gold cup from the table. Turn around and take a step toward the giant cask on the other side of the room. Turn right and look at the five smaller casks. Save here. Click on the casks, then use the gold cup. Drink seven glasses of wine from any or all of the three casks, and you will become drunk and be transported through the giant cask into a dungeon-like room, and a timed sequence. Turn around and look at the bench. Click on it and drag it away from the corner. There are two possible hotspots, one toward the left of the screen and one near the corner. Do the one to the left to get a closeup of the floor.

One of the bricks near the middle of the screen looks different than the rest. Near the upper left corner of it is a small hotspot. When you get the hand icon, drag the brick to move it out of the way and reveal an opening.

Retrieve the paper and go to the last page. Here are pictures of all of the pages, but you really only need to know the symbols at the end.

Now back up and click on the hotspot near the corner where the bench was to get a view of the wall. Use your spraypaint on the wall to paint a new door, and you will automatically exit. You will be on the other side of the courtyard from the urn room; go straight across, turn the urns blue and purple again, and go back into the wine cellar and retrieve the gold cup. This time, just go back out the way you came in.

Globe Room

Globe Room

You should have the Duke's key (from answering his questions) before you come in here. Enter through the Two Urns room by changing both urns to brown and then entering the door on the right. Turn around toward the door to trigger a cutscene with the Princess. After that, look at the trunk and use the key. You will get a CD called "Sensory Focal Devices." You can fiddle around with the globe to see some Paris scenery.

Return to the library and play the CD on the computer.

Go back to the globe room. Now there will be a note on the writing desk that contains the security code (6793) to get the clarinet out of the art gallery.

Art Gallery

Art Gallery

The art gallery is the room upstairs from the artist studio. After you have solved the easel puzzle, use the spraypaint from your inventory on the canvas to unlock the door (if you haven't already done so). Go in and cross the room to the case containing the clarinet. Enter the security code, 6793, to open the case and get the clarinet.

Outside

Once you have all of the items, the crown, the key, the clarinet, the goblet, and the spray can, go outside and stand in front of the pool facing the main entrance (where you started the game). Use the clarinet on the pool. The princess will appear and ask you for the crown. Give it to her, and she disappears in a ball of light. Go back to the mirror puzzle room and retrieve the crown from the same cabinet where it was originally located.

A Different Globe Room

Now go through side entrance of the Chateau that has the red bush outside. Turn to the right or the left and enter the arched doorway. You will find yourself in front of a wooden door; enter. There is another globe in here similar to the one in the room with the harp and the writing table. Approach the globe to trigger a cutscene where the princess is trapped inside the globe begging you to get her out.

The Symbols from the Note

The Symbols and Their Items from the Mirror Puzzle

What you must do is place the clarinet, the crown, the key, and the goblet in the four holes in front of the globe, in the order they appear on the note you found in the dungeon, as follows: goblet, crown, clarinet, spraypaint. Now you get a cheesy cutscene and that's it. Game over.
